I spent all day working on Mellons... removed the CLAW and built a servo winch, still need to mount it, painted the tube work, added a fairlead and started swapping the rc4wd scale lug nuts.

Saw you put up the claw fs. Was the free spool not worth it?

Been contemplating giving up my servo winch for one. But the servo is so powerful.

The freespool is really useful but yeah... just not enough power compared to a servo winch.

Was thinking that also about the free spool in a timed comp situation. But it not being at least as fast/powerful as a servo winch kinda turns me away. Any case thanks for the info, not much around about the claw. Looks like a quicksand is in my future

i have yet to try my claw in my tf2 but i can't imagine its worse in line speed or power than a 3racing or rc4wd.

Wow, crappy day... managed to fry a MMP while trying to rebuild the motor by being stupid and pluging in the wires wrong. Doh!
