Update:

NEW PARTS
DX6 Radio
RC4WD 2 speed tranny
but I don't like that the shift rod has no flat spot or hole to help connect a shift link to for the servo. ( emailed RC4WD, But no reply yet  )
But it is spring loaded so it's stays in one gear until it is pushed inward.

REVo shafts ebay, 4 @$25.

Found my 3/4" Speakers so I can have TOONS when Crawling 8)
I'll plug these into my IPOD shuffle under the hood .

It may be awhile for this build, we just bought a house :-P and so have to Pack up , move in July-Aug and set up my new Garage :-P

Not that I am really interested in Maxx crawlers, but this build is pretty sweet so far! I love all the custom touches everywhere.

Can you give us some info on the speakers? How are you going to wire them into a headphone jack? And where did you get them?

EDIT JUNE 2009, I used Altec Lansing Apple IPOD speaker system

Speakers from an old friend, no idea where they came from. But they have those Rc rappin trucks at Toy r us with the big wheels and radio, so you could part it out. If they Do not sound good then I'll buy Ipod portable speakers :)

Just bought These Bad boy Rod Ends "thumbsup"

Steel for the lowers and the light thermoplastic for the uppers

MSC http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT...49458&PMT4NO=0 and will have some by tomarrow others by monday

I'll post my feedback when I get them

3/16
10/32 thread is 3/4 long
outside diameter 5/8
1" 9/16 total long

steel Rod End zink plated $4.36 static load 1200
the black one is thermoplastic self aligning $2.86 static load capacity 225

These will most likely not break if it takes a tumble 8)

Now I just need to finalize on some strong links, any suggestions??
maybe 3/8 delrin for the uppers

Need some help here
the Site MSC where I bought the thermo plastic rod ends does not identify them as LEFT thread, so I need a left thread hex nut.

:?:Any sources where I can find a 10/32 left thread nut :?:

already tried Mc Caster, Olander and MSC

thanks
