My humble '80s 46" Papasan Chair Crawling Arena. Takes up only a small corner in the living room. Obstacles (none purchased specifically for this use) can be easily changed or rearranged for new adventures or removed completely, when needed, to repurpose the chair for sitting!

To vary the elevation changes in the Arena and add a few more obstacles, items such as rolled bath towels, small bowls, spare RC wheels, etc. can be placed around the rim under the stadium blanket cover. The entire Arena can easily be rotated or tilted to provide different crawling experiences featuring increased/decreased vertical heights/angles and driver viewpoints.

Get yours today for the low, low price of...

Sorry.

Sitting at a little over half done. Some things are just sitting around in the course, not really finished. The remainder will be squeezing in details and adding 5 or so more obstacles to the limited space left. I want it to be epic when I'm satisfied with it. It's fun now for sure but I'm a detail freak and need much more. Just grateful to have the space to build it.

Very nice.

My all weather/covered 1 ton front porch rock pile gets rearranged (at least a section of it) every few weeks! Just for a change of pace and some new lines to try.

Latest version of Papasan Crawl Arena.

I was tearing up an old bush and discovered that someone who previously own this house must have done some landscaping and the bush outgrew and covered everything.

Most of the rocks that i dug up.

Organized the rocks and added some dirt.

I love how it turned out.

I've been working on this small course that I setup at work. It's hidden behind one of our storage containers. It has a rock garden, sand pit, a bowl, and a bit of concrete. Coming along pretty good.

Building my first micro course and looking for advice. I have a space about 27" x 5 feet. I would like to have challenging terrain with multiple lines, cracks and a bridge.

Can anyone provide any tips to help design the course? Did you have a way to trial and error terrain? How did you lay it out?

I have 1 1/2" sheets of styrofoam along with spray foam, plan to layer plaster over the terrain for a more diverse terrain and will paint with a textured paint afterwards for traction

When I built Mt DooM, it was trial & error. I built a section, drove it ,then modded it as needed. Foams easy, U can always add more or carve some off if coarse is to hard or easy.

I didnt have have a lot of room so I built up to get more coarse for less space.

A good way to get grip/texture is to coat with asphalt filler and sealer
cheaper than textured paint & worked great on paper mache & canned foam...not sure on styrofoam, U would have to to test it 1st. I then sprayed over with cheap spray paint for color
