I also like it very much, and because I will soon be building my own track I wanted to know how he built it. I think it is plaster or something like that.

I tried something different. I made a wooden frame with a bottom plate and sticked the styro upright into that frame.

I only cut one piece at a time and stick it first into the frame and then the next one. Its easy to work, because its held together just by the tight fit. You can preride the course and change something and ride it again.

After I am completely satisfied with the course, I will glue the styro together and will cover it with filler and paint.

Next pictures are with filler and paint.

This is with my first layer of filler, that I colored in a sand-yellow. It takes 3 days to dry and will get much brighter then.

I will ad a second layer to cover everything, in wich I will throw some real sand while wet, to get a very realistic surface and a grippy texture.

In 3 days this will be hard as stone !

1st layer 1/3 dry

It much brighter then I thought. I will ad much more yellow-color in the next layer.

@Stormin:

Itīs hard for me to translate from german what I use, but I will give it a try:

Itīs called (translated) something like "Flex-Glue". Itīs a powder, that you mix 5:1 with water, and is normaly used to glue ceramics in the bathroom to the walls. You can buy it where you buy things for building houses.

Get it ?

Cheers, Pete
