| My Hilux single cab long bed build
After scoopin up a micro crawler for dirt cheap (and having had one when they first came out, My losi micro crawler jeep) I was happily obliged to do up a scaler being inspired by looking through so many builds since. Soooo fun to drive around (especially killing time on pit tables at the local track) and crawls superb! Brass/solder chassis, dannaly's mod for wheel width widening rc4wd shoes, no foams solder wrapped around rims led's head and tail Here she is in her completed stage (for now) - next to her (yet to be)unmolested sister Hoping for some opinions: Of course it crawls better with the width and bigger tires, but which looks better- stock or the mickey thompsons? |

Awesome rig,I'm a huge Toyota fan so it gets my 2 thumbs up. If you don't mind could you go in to a little detail on how you incorporated the led's and components used. I'm looking to add some to a build im doing and those look sick. |

Some chassis photos & ongoing accessory updates- added a rear cage, and ID retract winch setup(really helps crazy climbs!!) Have decided to keep MT's on there since it crawls soo much better with em. \ Last edited by specgie; 08-29-2011 at 12:04 PM. |

| Will get some pics to help explain- but essentially I just split the servo wiring to splice a pos+ and neg- female servo lead out of it which connects to the lights wiring on the body. That gives me 6V from the esc/rx unit of which I cut down to 3v or so(I don't with the proper resistor. Led's are hot glued in place behind the head & tail light lenses.
