Bringing this back up from the dead...I was going to make a southern buggy to house these axles but that never happened..

So after seeing Dan post up his losi axles it got me thinking, I need to build something with these so I pulled em off the shelf & started a TTC rig..

Specs are:
180 se motor AKA "stroker big block" can
29.1 Pololu GR unit
sumo T-case mod
MRC shafts modded
tekin b1r on 3s power
modded sumo axles, well you already know about those from page 1
west coast choppers rc body
& some brass

Awesome update! I prefer Stroker Big block
I have a few of those SE 180's and they are definitely better than the stock 180's in the Xray M18s but I scored some old Pro180 motors from a friend and I think they are the way to go. Not so much for the dual ball bearings but the 180 sized Neo mags are STRONG when it grabs hold of near by metal it doesn't want to let go

Sweet work as usual, what reduction is that box and did you have to modify the motor shaft? The actros is being re-born as a scania and it doesn't need the speed of the SE.

Thanks fellas I should have a vid up tonight..
The reduction box is this one:
Pololu - 29:1 Metal Gearmotor 20Dx41L mm

You just have to cut the motor shaft down for it to fit, easy to do!

Very nice rig! Does everything stay in place pretty well on those axles? Widened axles look trick to me, but always seem like they'd have slop between the tube you added and the stock housing??? I'd be afraid my axles would end up looking like a smiley face.

That thing looks awesome...and so much fun!

I keep forgetting about running the 11.1 on mine. I'm gunna throw in the Redcat drive lines soon, drop in the Mamba Micro esc, and 11.1, and see what else I can break!
