oh no you didn't!

that is just stupendous! ... wonder what it would take to do it to a Losi axle?
is the Losi axleshaft drilled and pinned (literally)?

How come nobody makes this stuff to sell? Seriously, wouldn't a ton of people buy these?

Looks awesome, looks like the Sumo axle is a little tougher, though the diff is pretty big.

I've already started ... brass 9/32" tube (.014" wall) is a perfect slip fit on the Losi axle case ends ... but I didn't have any other sizes that would work for an inner and outer re-inforcement (I plan to add that bit of extra as I''m gonna try and extent the Losi axle) ... I see another trip to the hobby store in my future.

Oh yes I did, Losi's would be the same procedure & yup its pinned.
Only broke one microscopic drill bit

Thanks! I have enough scalers these will be for a tube buggy rock racer build.

I have no clue thats why I made my own! I know I would buy some if they were made to drop right in... The sumo's are some tuff little axles.

I like your style already getting busy on the losi's

Parts:
9/32 brass tube- K&S part # 132
1/4 brass tube K&S # 131
1/8 brass tube K&S # 1154
3/32 brass tube K&S# 812
set of losi axles LOSB 1712

Drill bit to drill out the 3/32 tube for the axle shaft to fit...I have no clue what size the bit is, no markings on it & package it came in is long gone.
Before drilling the 3/32 tube out sleeve it with the 1/8 to keep it from bending as the wall of the 3/32 becomes quite thin.

Awesome, thanks for the info ... I might even have a bunch of that tubing already at home, and I got axleshafts to spare.

Just had a thought - I'll check, but Mini-Qlo axles might be able to be used and negate the need to lenghten the stock shafts. I know they use the same bearing at the outers and the outers fit the stock knuckles, the inners are similar but beefier ... just need to look at the worm end of things. I can see my MOA v1 getting pillaged shortly

Nice work Chevy55. Very cool. You have singlehandedly eliminated the most annoying trait of widening with spacers....scrub radius. That is exactly what will throw your front end off a line when even making minor steering adjustments. Good job....as usual!

Good to see you back here.

Thanks MC!

I started on the link mounts & truss but I just didn't like the direction they were going..To big & bulky:

Here is the start of version 2. way leaner looking but they will weight more than the older version

Thanks E!

Got them done minus file work & some paint.
Ditched the lockouts & opted for 4 wheel steer.

Next to a stock losi For size comp.:

Next to stock sumo's on the dirt pro mudder:

Next to the Danally rim modded S-10 on losi axles:

Now I got to figure out what to put em under?
