Default Lava's Suspension: A Photo How To. (pic heavy)

I have had many request for a detailed post about how I made my shocks and pull down spring set up. I'm going to use lots of pics and answer questions on specifics, but a full step by step would take forever and be word heavy. I am not that good of a writer and would only create confusion.
The spacer for the duel spring I made on a lathe, you might have to get creative.

Materials:

I don't think choice of metal matters. Copper, Brass, or Steel.

Shocks:
4ea.----.5"long X .093" OD .063" ID telescopic tubing
8ea.----.05"long X .125" OD .093" ID telescopic tubing
1ea.----small sheet of .062" thick stock(mcmaster.com)
4ea.----about 2" steel or stainless steel, full hard, .062" rod(mcmaster.com)
4ea.----.062 shaft collar(mcmaster.com)
1ea.----bag of mini t ball cups
4ea.----small screw (I use the ones that come with hitec 65's)
1ea.----tube of super glue.
Optional Micro T front or rear spring set. stock springs from stock shocks are fine.

Tools:

.093 drill
Drill for clearance hole for chosen screw mine was .062.
Dremal
drill press
small torch or soldering iron

Pull Springs:

1ea.----.01 thick brass shim stock
1ea.----.025 brass shim stock
a few inches at the most----small solid link stainless steel chain(Ebay)(i had to buy ten feet, I might have extra if you ask nice)
4ea.----.093" X .625" pull spings(mcmaster)I use the black oxide ones.

The photos show the process. I superglue the brass sheets into stacks and work with the stack to create four identical parts then use a solvent to release them from each other.

Just the pulling setup used with stock shocks makes a huge difference too.
