You can use a cigarette lighter or heat gun to heat up the styrene. I think a lighter is best since it concentrates heat in a smaller area than a heat gun would which makes it less likely to bend somewhere you don't want it to bend.

I just use a bic lighter and hold the tip of the flame about 1" from the styrene. Pass it over till the styrene becomes compliant, bend to the shape I want and hold till it cools (a few seconds).

This is fantastic! I was thinking of making a rollbar behind the cab of a micro I'm building, and I think I know what I want to do it with now. This is really turning out great.

Life has been a little to crazy for RC's lately, but I finally worked on the front. Danally's comment about the front got me thinking it does look incomplete. After a few revisions I think I have something I like that will still allow for the front to travel.

Now just for... More... Triangulation. And then sanding and final glueing and smoothing...

I realize now I never upgraded this....

I finished it

Never really "liked" the front but ran it all summer

So I started rebuilding it a bit

Almost finished with the front. False rear carrier done. Battery basket to follow

Love this build! Glad to see you got back to it. With winter setting in, I have a feeling my micros will start to get some attention, too.

Sometimes you look at something, and you just can't decide if it's "right" or not.

That was me with this for a week or two. After putting in the hoops for the battery, I finally figured out what it needed to make it right. A healthy dose of RED.

I grabbed some body matched paint I had left over from the cage build on my 1:1 and gave it some love.

I'm debating body panels, but as it sits I'm very happy with it.
