Default Anyone Build a 1/18th Rock Racer Yet?

I've had the MRC for a while now and I recently started playing with the Losi Mini DT. (Great rig by the way) It got me thinking about how much speed I can get out of my MRC and still crawl. Anyone tried a 6000KV Exceleron setup or anything with wild wheel speed?

Not sure about that brushless, but other brushless systems have and are being used for these. And of course someone has done a rock racer of these. Just gotta look for it. I am think about doing mine up a rock racer. Well not thinking, I am. I don't know much about brushless, but the exceleron(?) should work fine on this. But make sure you upgrade your lockers. Those plastic one will break in a heart beat.

NeXT,

What are your plans for the motor, gearing and top speed? I like the designs you chose. I made something similar for my son's MRC. For mine I'm doing a Campbell style buggy but I'm trying to decide on what motor to upgrade to.

thinking about the mongoose system

but i just bought my tekin fxr so i might go w/ the stump puller.

i have a losi mini slider motor in it right now w/ upgraded springs and brushes and w/ my surrent set up this thing hauls (well.... for a crawler) w/ stock gearing.havent even had any issues w/ over heating.

ohh and i just noticed the title of the thread. note that the buggy being made a the moment is going to be 1/12 scale not 1/18. it does look pretty though doesnt it?
