Default Boost's Chaotic Carbon Mini Bodiless!!

Well it has come to the time where I just must switch over to the Carbon Version.

I have been successfully running the Chaotic Mini Pro Bodiless and it flat out works. But now its time to lighten things up and get the suspension sloppier than every before.

You can check out my old Delrin Mini Bodiless build Here...

Build Specs:
Losi Crawler Axles/ Metal Lockers
Losi Trans w/ HR aluminum gears
Novak Mongoose brushless
Hitec 5955 servo
Chaotic Pro bodiless Carbon chassis
Chaotic 3/16" Ti Lower links
MIP drive shafts
Losi CVD's (wishing for a better option)
HB rover 1.9 tires
Losi Aluminum shocks
Vanquish LH wheels - Red

The carbon is super rigid just like all the carbon that Chaotic uses. Then we put the new 3/16" standoffs and spacers in it to get to the extreme. Im going to use just the raw aluminum hardware to begin and possibly get creative in the future

I hard bent the panels before paint.....Unfortunately my airbrush is packed in a box who know where...So it will likely get a super simple paint job. Rattle can special..

Sweetness.....
I fell in love with the OG CC 1.9 bodiless, but this is real nice.
I makes me drool all over.

That CF with the raw aluminium looks just sooo good.

We dont "get" we "make"

All of our chassis are based upon sizes we feel best perform. Not based on sizes that are easily available.

You should make carbon fiber panels for it too.

Due to the fact I have a comp this weekend this "build" quickly became a "Built"

I put a new trans case on and got the tranny mounted....

This chassis has the 2mm holes for the upper links so I swapped the upper link rod ends to the stock losi rod ends.

Because I am trying for the super sloppy suspension I mounted the upper links on the inside so there can be plenty of side wobble....HAHA.

Since this was basically a swap on the chassis it went pretty quick...

Once I figure out the electronics I just threw on the wheels and started on the panels...

Again like I stated above my airbrush is MIA... So I picked up some sweet carbonish sticker...Looks pretty good...

I just covered all the panels but cut the Chaotic Logo in the roof sticker.

Looking good! This is probably a noob question but what is the advantage to mounting your upper links on the inside of the chassis?

Its a personal preference thing...By putting the upper links inside it allows the axles to have some side to side wobble...Yeah, that doesnt sound great..But if I have learned anything about mini is you want to limit the suspension and make it good and loose...This set up is not for everyone..But it seems to keep my rig planted when needed..

No...I dont. I just throw the axles from my delrin pro under the CF & boom. How much work do YOU have to make YOURS look that purty? Hmmmmm?

Love the carbon fiber chassis. Is it just me or does carbon fiber make everything look awesome?

CF makes everything look awesome! But it wouldn't be as awesome on anything other then a chaotic chassis!

Ok so it's not quite that easy... But I'm working on getting parts for a rebuild one mine Like a big rebuild So than it'll look very purty...

Oh and I agree with Winnerone23 about the CF.... And I just couldn't have a Chaotic chassis without it being CF and having Ti Links
