Awesome report there Winner........ I am glad to hear that the kennel is growing and everyone is getting along well. Hit me with those changes soon..... I have a couple of customers waiting anxiously for the release of this one.

Nice reading Troy! I am glad that the chassis works for you
If you and Barry don't mind, please share those changes to me too.

I am about to order some more prototypes from Shapeways and I am wondering if you would like to try out the printed skid I designed for this chassis? Let me know if you do. I guess you want a red one in that case

Thanks Tobias, that would be Awesome! A red skid would look saaweeet!
I'm wanting to try the wide lower link skid as well.. Have you tried it out at all?
I think it would limit a touch of hangup on the leading edge of the chassis?

Tobias,

Don't worry.... We will keep you in the loop. It has been a wonderful chassis from the start but Winner has been saying there are a couple of clearance issues he wants to work on. We have been kicking ideas around for a couple of days and I have a couple drawings he is looking at. He likes the "beefed up skid" layout but with less weight. I will see what changes we do and see if the skid will still fit. Keep in touch my favorite Swede

I hate to say it the prunes n coffee express is slowin down... . That said I will try and squeeze in a little time this weekend to maybe get something (long overdue) out.

Just curious what material the skid is made from at Shapeways? I know they have the laser sintered plastic (white flexible) and then the laser resin but that is really only good for mold masters and high detail models that don't see much abuse.

I havent had time to do anything on my mini since the last pictures I took of it

With the wide lower link skid, do you mean something like this? My original on the left and the new on the right.

The plastic Shapeways call Strong and Flexible is a version of Polyamide 12 (Nylon).

Slacker here.. Getting stoked for the upcoming season and getting the mini ready and running!

I feel the chassis is a good performer. It's planted and solid on the rocks, with little TT and stays predictable...

We had a comp a month or so ago and ended up running 6 courses.
The only thing I noticed, was the front of the skid hanging up.
So I swapped out the late model shocks for pro shocks.

I have a few packs thru it now and how it sits is Great!

Ride height is low..

Break over is right where it needs to be..

Now I just have some things to swap over and button up for the start of the season..

Changing the BMRC weight setup out, in favor of Dlux weights..

They are only 1.5" diameter and not 1.6".. Which causes some wheel issue at World's this year.
That and I can get rid of this rock hanger, cause the Dlux weights will actually fit inside the wheel's!

A new servo guard is in order.. As well as panels..

Last but not least.. Getting some ti links on this bad boy! (Now that the wheel base is established)

Fun continues!

So I couldn't stop, once I started.. I wanted to keep the same weight, which is probably a little more then Needed, since it was the weight to make a torsion chassis work properly!

So here goes.. Dlux weights are made for VP XR knuckles.. Not wraith..
So out comes the dremel! Oh yeah!!!

This gets me down close to weight.. With the right fit and tight track width, I couldn't do much different..

Time for more dremeling! I took the top of the ring off to match the main weight.. I ended up 4 grams shy per side.. Which is fine with me, seeing how it's lower and Wider, with the Dlux setup..

Way out in the wheel compared to the BMRC..

All mounted up and ready to rock!

Flex shot!!!

Do have had any time to try out the skids I sent you yet?

Nice to see that the MRC Pro shocks seems to fit the chassis nicely

Not yet Tobias.. But they are in line on the bench, for mounting..
Not that it helps very much, with snow and ice covered rocks, gum will slide over them! Lol..

No, no ur not! :/ parted out, divided up, sold off... Lol...

Front axle is staying with me. Replaced with a pro axle with Rcbros high steer knuckles and ota tie rod.. (Then maybe the new owner will do a build thread) but I promise it to be going to good hands!

They are Christians, for sure.. See the glue seem? No, not really.. It's there, on the edge of the tread..

They do look good! The mini doo's, in general, I mean..

Where do I get ahold of extra weights for these knuckles!? Do I have to call Calvin? Or drill holes in extra rings I have?
