Default Good motor upgrade suggestions?

I want my rig to have a little more power...Recently ordered a lipo battery (will that give it more power, using with the stock motor?)

Basically I want more power, but don't want to run the risk of ruining my esc, and having to upgrade that as well.

Hopefully you guys have some ideas...

Thanks

If ur switching from nicd or NiMH to lipo for the first time, Yes, you will be getting more power for sure!

Even switching to Lipo, though, you'll eventually want a different motor. I swapped in a Reedy 19T Stump Puller with a 1300 mAh 2S and it has plenty of wheel speed now. Need to do the same with my son's Slickrock. Of course I'm now running a Castle Mamba Micro in my MRC, too, so it's even better. Good motor upgrade, though, is the Insane 370 or the cobalt motor.

You can see the mods I've made to my MRC on the landcruiser build thread...

Now that I've stretched and dropped it (and switched out the driveshafts to longer traxxas shafts)...and added wheel weight...and the extra weight of the body mount setup...the truck seems completely underpowered. Even struggles going up slight inclines...

I'm hoping the lipo will help...might have to switch out the motor regardless.

Anybody have similar issues when stretching/dropping the chassis? I'm wondering if the motor is struggling with these axles.
