Default Driveline Problems

I bought some mud terrain tires, and when I installed them it created a rubbing problem. So I bought some wheel spacers. Installed the spacers today, they have a really snug fit. So snug that it pulls that "cup thing" further away from the dog bone. Now I have the problem that the dog bone spins and loses contact with that cup.

Are there any solutions to this problem? This really stinks

Default Re: Driveline Problems

Sounds to me like you're missing the inner bearing in the knuckle. There should be two, one on the inside next to the dog bone cup, and an outer by the wheel hex. There is a small lip in the knuckle that keep either from sliding in or out. Wheel/axle pushes in? Missing the outer bearing. Wheel/axle pulls out, missing the inner bearing. Also, don't lose the o-rings that fit down inside the dog bone cups. These keep the inner shafts from sliding out of the housing/locker. Losing them will result in a sudden and often loss of drive torque to that corner.
