Hi, so after wanting something to crawl with at home (2.2 too big for home) I bought a slickrock, which was horendous out of the box. So after looking about and not finding much available I thought I would give a Hot Racing MRC14n01 a crack. Once it arrived the slickrock was promptly dismantled and converted over. The new chassis although heavy is waaaay better than the vaterra. I have also upgraded the rims, tyres, servo swap (stock died), steering links, mrc pro cvds and thats about it. ATM the drag brake is nearly non existent with the stock esc so I am researching what to replace it with (any suggestions??), I want something strong as I am used to worm gears on my 2.2s. Apart from that all it needs is some new lower links made and something to protect the motor. image url upload photo share Last edited by nut161; 12-11-2016 at 09:20 PM. Reason: Title ammendment |

Luck would have it a pro roller popped up for the right price. So i have since pulled what was required from my vaterra and lcc (plus the local hobby shop). Was a quick build to this point but absolutely love it, for its scale i think it crawls better than my modded lnc shafty. Waiting on some bent links and outboard kit to arrive but so far is sooo much fun. Need some weights and thats about it i think. |

So i picked up some weighted/modified axles from here nearly a year ago and hae finally decided to do something with them. They have the bomb proof mounts, lcc hubs, weights all round and traxxas front pinion only issue i have is what wheels to run that fit (stock dont fit over the weights and wrong offset) and some small 3mm link ends to fit the link mounts? These are the axles and any recommendations (wheels) would be appreciated. |

well decided not to run those axles, dont want to ruin how its running (light) but put some wideners and loved the extra width.

I like the green wheels did you paint those? If you want to use the weights check out Dlux fab wheels, and dravpnir makes some that fit over his weighted knuckles.

They are just generic plastic crawler rims from ebay had to trim the inner beadlock to make the tyres fit but that was it.

very nice crawler. I am just getting into these 1/18 crawlers. I love them, you can wheel them nearly anywhere!
