Did you read what I posted? Run your 8 cell for fun, but race day, run a 6 cell or 2s lipo.

That's cool, just incorporate the 8 cell rule into your local rules. These are just intended to be guidelines.

I like some of these rules. It's a good start for our club. My suggested changes for us are as follows:

Body: All trucks must use the Traxxas Slash body, or aftermarket Slash specific bodies.

Chassis: No modifications may be made to the chassis system. Vehicle must be raced in it’s stock form. Original Traxxas Replacement parts only, as supplied on original truck , for damaged/worn parts.
I'm good with this.

Suspension: Both the front & the rear suspension systems must remain in stock form. Original Traxxas parts only. No aftermarket/Hopup replacement components may be installed.
I'm good with this.

Legal Tuning Parts – Original Traxxas Shock Springs may be used
Shock Cap may be replaced with Alum Shock Cap #2667

Cool.

Steering: No modifications may be made to the steering system. Original Kit parts only. You may install any servo saver or servo drive-horn that you so choose.
Cool.

Bearings: Any manufacturer Bearing may be used.

Electronics: Original RTR Kit electronics Speed Control (XL-5) & Servo (2075) only. You may install any Receiver you so choose. On board traction/drift device or Gyro’s NOT permitted.
Cool.

Motor: This class is restricted to a stock Traxxas Titan 12T R/C motor.
Cool.

Battery: This class is limited to any 1 - 6, 7, 8 cell ” Nicd” , “Nimh” made up of “SubC” size cells. No LIPO available.

Wheels: Original Traxxas Slash 2.2” wheel.
Cool.

Tires: Original Traxxas 2.2” Slash Tire.
Cool.

Drive line: Only the original Traxxas Drive Train may be used. No aftermarket or Hopup replacement drive components may be installed. Traxxas Steel Planetary Gear Differential Only. Any of the 3 Traxxas spur gears (4683, 4686, or 8690) are permitted. Any pinion gear that mounts without modifications needed may be used.
Cool.

Ball Differentials are NOT permitted in the Spec Class.
Cool.

Weight: Who Cares.

Body - Only aftermarket Slash bodies, once avaiable.

The only thing I want to change is the esc and servo because they are water proof and will work great in my G-Wagon.

Thats cool, but if we do race, you never know if there will be water incorporated into the track, i.e. set up the course where part of the track runs along side some water or through a small stream.

Once we all have a GTG and we have these in our hands, this will be more fun than the actual rock crawling, IMO.

Set up the track with some small inclines (ramps).

"He didn't push you, he didn't hit you, he rubbed you and rubbin son is racing" or something like that. That asshole cut me off!!..Cole Trickle.

Oh wait, I forgot the subtract the axis of the earth for this month, so by my above calculations, it's off by 1/16".

Damn it, I always do that. Just goes to prove that seven years of higher education isn't all it's cracked up to be.
