Encountered an issue with the Boom Racing steering links...

The links hit the Axle cover at both ends of the steering angle. This restricts the steering angle a few degrees less than the stock links. It's more an issue with the rod-ends used. They aren't offset enough. I'll need to look for some M4 sized rod-ends with more off-set.

Anyway... the rear links installed.

Got my Knights Customs roll bar in, but I'm not sure how I'll mount it yet. I'll need to strengthen the holes to not have the screws grind away at it. Maybe fill the holes with something or find a way to glue something to use body pins.

Also started prep work on the bed so that I can spray it with plasti dip as a bedliner.

Also mounted my alloy beadlock wheels and Pro-Line Racing Hyrax 1.9 G8 Rock Terrain Truck Tires onto the truck.

This is what happens when you wait too long for some parts..... you end up ordering more parts.

Bought the MST Steel driveshaft kits and just got them in.

Been busy with work lately.... It's harder to get time to paint pieces because of the prep work and workspace needed. I should have some time today for an update though.

So... right now this build is being held up by getting the finish of these 3D printed parts right. I've wetsanded and clear coated, but I can't seem to get the cloudiness out of the clear parts. Anyone got any suggestions?

Question about the links. Do they have some decent weight to them? Most of the stainless steel links that I've bought have advertised the added weight, over aluminum, to help lower the cog. The description on these talk about them being light weight.

The stock ones are pretty light. The Boom Racing ones I bought do have a nice heft to them.

Cool, thanks!

I'm almost done getting the parts together for my build.

So admittedly the bodywork isn't the best. Hard to do a great job with little time and trying to rush it to completion between work and kid.

Here's where I'm at now.... just need to attach the side mirrors, and find the following:

- Spotlights for the rollbar
- Rear bumper (I really really want a rear bumper for this thing, but not sure what would work best.)

That is looking good!

I still haven't decided what body I'd like to run on mine.

Thanks!

I'm still not done yet though. Work's been crazy, and I haven't had any time to finish up.

I share your pain. I've been working on my Bomber kit for close to a month.

So I finally have a tiny update.

I bought this R/C roof rack + light kit. And found out that the spotlights can be used perfectly for my Knight Customs SR5 Roll Bar.

Now I need to figure out how to hide the wiring as best as I can. Probably take me another month to figure that out lol!
