Hey 98zr600, I added you to my Crawling email address book. Alex up in GrandHaven wanted to get together to climb some snow, but my 2.2 is in pcs right now. I'll shoot an email out to see if anyone is interested. BTW, 'Battlefront Gaming and RC' in Grandville area is going to be building an indoor crawling spot. They have indoor/outdoor racing now. The rock crawling corse at battle front is coming together and is drivable. It is free to drive on for now untill they finish it. We get together on friday nights and the big group is on sundays. If you want to talk to them their number is 616 706 0391. I will be out there this sunday. Every body usually shows up there around 1. |

What's the take on the Battlefront course so far? I have work to do on my 2.2 comp yet. Think a 1.9 Hard Bodied Scaler can crawl the course? |

Hey Sweli. I think your 1.9 will have a challenge. That being said... at this moment the "gang" is adding more rocks to the course so we shall see what there "evil tendances" bring us. Your best bet is to come out and check it out. John and his family are wonderful people and the "gang" is build one heck of a course. |

I am up north this weekend, (31/1). My 2.2 has a new ESC mount, GIANT servo mount is 50% milled, new mount to clock rear axle is drawn up, but needs milled, CCBEC needs soldered/wired. Having fun playing with the mini vertical mill that is on loan to me. It should be ready by later next week. I'd be game to try Battlefront on Sunday 2/8, or possibly Friday if that is preferred. If that falls through, I could be talked into freezing my fingers off. But where outside is runable right now? |

| Couple pics of Funrun at Battlefront Gaming & RC
There was a ROAR buggy runoff going on the whole day. Busy place. Nice indoor spot to crawl on this muddy end of winter day. Kudos to the guys who put the work into building it First pic is Jared (LH Blue Axial) Alex (middle red Axial) and Nate (RH Blue Axial). The hill Nate is on can be a bear. At the top, hang a 90deg right and cross a 3ft cable run - Nice! My TLT BMV and Jared up and over the stairway (90deg turns at bottom). Nate still trying the 'Rolling Rock' hill - LOL. Just kidding, this is an hour later, it only took him 20mins. |

BFG is cool Got a spot off westriver drive and north division in comstockpark that is high grip rock. Good for most sportys and comp rigs. Also a couple other local spots, just got to keep scoping out spots guys. Keep sharing where you find spots. Would be great to get some ppl together. |

There are some great, STEEP, unmaintained hiking trails in the woods of Henry Johnson Park off of Wilson Ave. by the Walker city border. I do not have a camera, so I can not get pictures. I went to the second parking lot, picked a "trail head" (small break in the thick tree line) and went for it. The woods back there are all hills and valleys, there are big erosion-preventing rock piles, a winding stream, and a ton of rocky, dirt hiking trails. It was great. Here is a link to the Kent County Johnson Park site. http://www.accesskent.com/CultureLei...ks/johnson.htm If anyone wants to head out there sometime, shoot me an email risedrummer@gmail.com |

There is a small flat rock area in Sparta behind the old middle school... there are 3 lines of baseball/volleyball sized rocks.... maybe 2ft wide and about 25-ish ft long.... They make up a low lying water spot and serve as a "break wall" during heavy rain... but when its all dried up its a nice little spot..... can definitely make a few gates and make it a long run course... Also the rocks arent round and smooth... they're mostly oddly shaped with flat edges.... will try to get pics up some time.... http://www.myspace.com/my/photos/photo/74362643/Album Last edited by That Jeep Guy XJMJ; 08-14-2011 at 02:33 PM. |

Here is my spot in comstock park. I got the okay to crawl there from the grounds keepers, but some lady yelled at me last time. I am going to have a talk with the lease group of the apartments and see if they with tell he to chill out. Last edited by Jeepkid; 08-15-2011 at 03:52 PM. |

Looks like a cool spot! Let us know if it is OK to crawl there. If so post up or send PM of where it is in Comstock Park. Thanks Scott.
