Thank you for chiming in scottanthony! As you stated the fun is in runni g your rig longer, testing your driving ability, durability of your rig and your physical ability to make it all the way thru. I really feel we will have more fun running it as intended to get the full effect. And yeah I would also love to try out a Terra-X race just to get my go fast fix!!

Maybe, no more than 100 since Jake has 200 flags.

Being the fact that the ground will be frozen or mostly frozen on saturday, may want to use cordless drill with an old bit on it to drill a pilot hole for all these flags.

Running both 2.2 and G6 the same day, I have come to the realization that this could go till after dark, because as soon as we start having fun.......time and better judgement goes right out the window.

I gotta say im pretty darn excited about this, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

The stakes are like 1/8" metal and mighty long.

Just finished using corrosion x that stuff is gross and smells worse than one of Big Steve's gas clouds (lol miss ya buddy!).

Wonder if we could mark out the course before Saturday while the ground is softer and we can see everything due to no snow on the ground.

I think the marker flags will be fine. I already have a clue on how to deal the frozen or snow covered ground.

The flag wires should be long enough to bend into a base and stand right on the surface. And I'm sure we can find stones and stuff to weight the bases down too. No problem!

And half the fun of snow running is taking the terrain as it comes and trying to see what our rigs can do.

We will be running as many challenges as we can. This is our first shot at this style of event so we will always be able to learn from what we do Saturday and make the next one better. This is kind of a practice run to prepare for the real full dedicated day/days G6 events. A full G6 event takes weeks and months to plan and in this short time we decided to give this a try, we only have time to throw caution to the wind and see what we can do to make it fun and learn what needs to be planned for a real event! So, lets not take it too serious and run what we brung and call it a "Mixed Adventurist Class" so we can all enjoy what we discover on Saturday.

I will be taking notes and filing them away for the real event in the future. I do plan to have a drivers meeting In the morning, and a briefing when we get done to give everyone a chance to voice what they would like to see in the big show!

Please always remember to have fun!! And suggestions are always welcome!!

Can't wait, this should be a blast. Just hoping I have enough batteries and the motor will hold out long enough to make the full course. Thinking quick change motors. LOL..

I'm working on a portable cable bridge right now, but don't know if I will have it done in time for this..
Something to think about as a challenge for the future though.

Lee, the stems on these utility flags are 18" or more, so plenty of room to bend to make bases and such. I ended up with 200 Flouro Lime and 200 Flouro Orange.

I only have 1 battery for the Wraith and no time to get another, hope she makes it for the whole G6

That is way too cool, Jake!! Thank you for doing that, it is such a big help on such short notice!!

Oh and it's a timed event so we all will be fighting battery issues!! Oh and I'm sure there will be extras and chargers going so dont fear we will get through it together!!

Even if we make one course and do two laps, the second time around stuff that was easy my become a challenge.

What are you going to need for a battery Jake?
I might have one if you need it.
I might just toss in the 3s pack from the slash. That should give me a TON of run time in the scaler. Might make it sit a little funny though..
