Are you talking about The Cove? That place is right over the ridge from my friends neighborhood (Shawneeland) Other folks have told me it's a fun spot, but I have not had a chance to go in there yet... Last edited by Big Mike; 12-16-2009 at 09:29 AM. | |

| Rausch creek is great for wheeling, but I enjoy camping too, so I love the cove campground in gore VA. Big dogs puts on a large 4 wheeling event about 4 times a year there. If amybody ever sees my Commando, please come say hi, chances are I'll have a RC in the back. |

Mounted the cage today after I painted it satin black. This is by far the best rattle can paint Ive ever used. When they say spray gun finish, it really is. http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/upl-up0801.html I couldnt get my drill into position for the front two holes, so they are just glued to the floor. The back 4 are drilled and epoxied in. I can pick the whole rig up by the cage, so I think it will be strong enough. Also painted the side marker lights on the body. Made a rear bumper out of 1/4" square styrene, and the micro firestick antena is .020 carbon fiber rod from the LHS that I dipped in red paint. Its finished enough now that the next pictures should be on the first trail ride. -YB |

Was'nt that on the cover of Crawl a year or so ago? Love that Jeep, Im a sucker for wood grain, and that rock rod was very tastefully done. I also recall it being for sale not that long ago. Are you the new owner, or did it never sell?

DUDE!!! You are my hero. I was thinking to myself, "Man, if I could just find a scaler chassis for this thing I might get one.", but, Youngblood, you nailed it, and it had never even crossed my mind. USE THE MODEL CHASSIS! DUH!!!! It has everything it needs, just attach some electronics and axles on it, and BAM!!, insta-scaler. You can even 4-link it if you feel like it. I both hate, and love you for this, you may have just made me buy a third crawler. |

Definitely a sweet build. I was thinking of turning mine into a scaler, but after seeing this one I'm not going to bother unless I take the time to match the quality of the Commando. Was your 1:1 at Jeepfest or the PA All-Breeds Jeep Show in '08? |

It looks good YB. Now get out in the shop and get back to work on your 2.2 rig. I will eventually need my right seat back. |
