Well i've been kinda busy lately but i got it mostly done. The other day i picked up my parts from rc hobbies and i also picked up Micro DT LiPo. All i need to do now is print out my little stickers and hit a couple more spots with some paint. Oh and despite what these pictures look like the fj is a firetruck red, for some reason my camera doesn't capture that very well. Here is what you guys have been waiting for...... My favorite from Idaho Little bit of a wheelstand And a good view of the winch Last edited by T4RCrawler; 07-16-2010 at 03:29 PM. |

BOBO- I'll try and get some soon but it's mounted with those black tubes along the rockers, and those tubes are brass. Those are screwed into four existing holes on these chassis but yeah i'll get some pics up soon.

That body worked out real good. Perfect scale for the wheel size. The 3D prototyping stuff is incredible! The possibilities are damned near endless. All you have to do is create it in a 3D modeling program? It's obviously some kind of a plastic material, how tough is it? If you started popping those out for sale, you'd clean up... |

Thanks for the feedback guys! I've been browsing but haven't posted in a while, work and my honcho has been keeping me busy. Big Mike- Yep, all you have to do is make the model in a 3d program, i used Solidworks. The printer lays .01in strips of ABS plastic. Some parts can obviously be delicate by the way their designed but the solid parts are made with ribs of support material inside so they're pretty strong. And sorry i can't produce any to sell to you cause apperently my school won't allow that, i already asked! haha |

Sorry to dig up an oldish thread, but this is one of my favourite micro builds... @ the OP: your body mound method looks great, but I'm not sure I understand it... mind elaborating a little? Love the scale accessories, by the way. |
