Well LEDs are usually the smallest brightest lights, and would be suitable for something this small. So I cant think of anything else of your choice.

Maybe, use some of that brass stuff to do something like a KOH light bar...like have a loop of brass protecting the LEDs or what ever light you choose?

X2 even styrene and LEDs would be strong enough and weigh less. people have built micro tubers from styrene

Some Styrene and LEDs for a low profile light bar.

or some surface mount LEDs and be a little different.

I want lights for sure, just not going to make them functional with LEDs. I just want buckets and lenses to finish off the looks. FYI they will be underneath the light bar I started on, that was meant to be the top and I will add bracing underneath.

got my ebay crawler and all the parts in yesterday and today. so my build begins. The road ripper jeep is pretty nice.

The crawler I got off ebay said the motor turns but the truck doesnt move. lol I just adjusted the pinion/ spur mesh and BAM it worked. Super cheap crawler.

The utrail chassis is really nice. easy to set up. will be cutting links and setting wheel base tonite. tomorrow I'll fab up some bracket for the body at work.

I did the solder in the tires, and no springs but I'm not liking that. May pick up some micro t springs down the road. I also plan on running some baja claws. Do you have pics of your tires mounted yet?

what life battery did you buy and what charger are you using for it? cheap?

Tires haven't shown up yet, I got them from an RC4WD team guy.

The LiFe I have is an SMC 220mAh 6.6V, has a built in switch. Sadly it puffed up somehow and it does not work so I'm stuck with the stock battery. I did charge it on my ProTek charger that I have for racing.

BTW I went droop as it was the only way I could get the rideheight reasonably scale. Still crawls and flexes very good, these little rigs are so light you don't really need springs. Plus I didn't like the torque twisting.

Got my tires last week, temporarily mounted them on the Losi wheels. I'm not sure I want to glue them just yet, I might have to get some different wheels!

Decided on the color for this body, gonna be gun metal metallic and look sick as fuuuuuuuuuu. I'll throw up some more pictures soon, been super busy with racing lately. 1/8 Electric Nationals next week, Omaha-bound yeehaw!

I will, just been really busy with racing and work, haven't touched the micro for awhile. Need to find some good beadlocks or wheels I'm ok with permanently attaching my tires to.

Finally got her painted! Still have to do the details and some touch-up but the color came out great, pics don't do the metallic graphite justice! Also got the Rok Lox.

Next plans are re-install the headlights, paint and re-install the brass add ons I made (I'm thinking red) and whatever else I have time to do.

I think I'm going to paint them red, they should stand out and add some contrast. I thought about doing the links in red too.

A rack would be cool.Easier then covering the holes and repainting it.
