Just got back from a trade show in Chicago but the brass parts are painted, will get them on soon. I'm not sure I want to build a brass rack for the roof for weight reasons, anyone know where I could get a plastic setup? I'm thinking about buying a 1:24 Dirt Rider Hummer H3T and stealing the roof goodies off the top. Last edited by Ty@Tekin; 10-25-2011 at 04:48 PM. |

why not styrene? easy to make and repair if needed. should be durable and light enough for the roof

That's an idea too, haven't ever worked with it before.

| Re: Ty's Super Rubicon
Been a long time since I've done anything with this rig, was sparked a few weeks ago and pulled it out of the box. Glued up the ROK LOX and weighted the wheels with 8-10 wraps of solder. Been having so much fun in the flower beds that I picked up a Trail Trekker and a Commander body for my daughter, she's 2 1/2 and loves driving it around the house, it's a good practice car for her to get the controls down. I lost all the parts I made for this body along with the roof rack and headlight LEDs when I moved into my current house. Will have to start all over sometime. |
