Default SCX24 Jeep Build

I’ve been a lurker on this forum for years reading threads, learning but never really posting much. I’ve decided to change that by posting a build thread.

Bought the SCX24 on RPP Hobby and decided to take a photo before I ruined it.

I don’t particularly care for the tire size as I feel it’s not scale, so off they went.

I had a set of RC4WD Rage wheels in my collection and ordered some Rok Lox Comp tires from RC4WD. I wanted a tire that was a bit more scale in size. I don’t care for the side decals so this will go as well.

Mounted the tires but, I felt it needed more. I had a set of SSD scale bolts in my parts stack for another set of wheels but decided to give it a try since the bolts were the same size as the screw.

I only changed the screws on the face asi did not have enough to do the backside. I think they look pretty good.

I need to work on the suspension as I feel the body is raked and not level.

I’ve got a few parts from Mod19rc on Shapeways. More updates to come.

Nice wheel/tire combo!

I picked up one of these CRC Jeep’s last month and have been wanting to change out the tires. I’ll have to see if I can find a set these.
