Finally got one yesterday and pried it out of my kid's hands today to install a small pile of parts: Mod19 steering link Mod19 sliders Mod19 servo mount Emax08a HR brass front diff cover HR brass steering knuckles ![]() Those steering links should be factory, the stock ones are beyond laughable. I have another truck still on backorder, undecided whether I'll keep it and make one a dedicated indoor and one a dedicated outdoor rig. Don't really relish doubling parts costs but I've got a spare set of steering links at least. If you were going to monster truck the SCX any easy to mount longer shocks to get a lift? Was thinking that and HBX Devastator wheels & tires would convince my 3yr old son. |

Didn't get a chance to do anything with them today. Both are modded pretty good already though, fun trucks for sure. ![]() ![]() Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk |

I went back to the deadbolt body (replete with badly made windscreen haha) and put the 100t hobby plus motor in the other day but tonight I reinstalled my "wideners" and improved them a little bit by heat setting the inserts into some spare hexes I had around, then I put it next to the 1/18 gelande 2 - I definitely need to put scx24 axles on the gelande - so sick of 400 point turning it >.> ![]() |

I stripped deadbolt body down for repaint #3, or 4... I don't remember. Lol. And I'm pretty sure that is a dolphin or a manatee that was left over after scraping the old paint off the body. ![]() Sent from my Z982 using Tapatalk |

Bought it today. Really dig the White jeep and the c10 but the deadbolt seemed more capable so I snatched it up in green. On here researching mods now to make it a solid performer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

| ![]() I should probably do something similar, since I'm intending to shorten the wheelbase down to 110mm so I can run my mini pickup bodies on it. Put that $10 into wheels... Really dig that teal C10 though, and why not roll something nice while working on the other bits.

| ![]() My uneducated opinion, longer shocks and possibly the mod19 tie rod ends to make your own links.

Got some hopups today. Got the emax servo which I have to say should have been on this truck stock! Much much needed. Also got my brass front diff cover. Tomorrow my 4mm wider axels will be here. Looking forward to getting those on. That’ll make a huge difference in rollover I assume. I haven’t seen any one running them yet so I’m not 100% sure what I’m in for. Right now we’ve got 1. Rc 4wd steel bead locks 2. RC 4wd tires 3. HB front brass diff cover 4. Emax servo 5. Waiting on axels Wanting to research gearing. I think the speed switch is stupid and I’d love to gear this thing slower for more grunt. Also thinking of ordering the brass knuckles and some steering linkage. I now have two RC4WD tire sets. Started with the Rok Lox on Axial wheels with lead wrapped around the inside of the wheel, two wraps in the front. Significantly better than stock. This morning I mounted the MT Baja Claw on stock wheels, one wrap of lead, HR wheel weights on front. REALLY impressed. They are a bit taller so better clearance. Lots of grip. That may be because they are new and clean. Do need to run the Rok Lox again after washing the dust off. Also made a center skid plate from stainless steel roofing flashing. I’ve gotta clean up that servo horn a bit. It was prof of concept for fitting when I got it all back together. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I just ordered one online, I hope it will arrive next week. I ordered it together with my new Ultralight backpack https://totalguide.org/best-tactical...ight-backpack/, getting ready when traveling is now back to normal.

Made new front/rear bumpers and mounts. 1/8x1/32” brass strip. Fits perfectly inside the frame rails. Soldered on a piece of stainless drinking straw for the bumper. Attached with a stock screw and CA glue. Adds a bit of torsional stiffness. Last edited by shiggy; 07-20-2020 at 03:13 PM. Reason: Brass size correction |

The Deadbolt got HR aluminum links and 9g brass cover. Added grease to the shocks. Less bounce and the extra weight helped alot. The HR steering links will be here Friday. Then a run on the course Sunday. ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |

Finally got mine. After it has sat at the post office for almost 2 weeks. I have been driving the heck out of it. These little things are fun.
