| AE-6 compatable batteries?
I've been looking around for a larger battery since I'm slowly adding so much weight to the truck. Ive found plenty of small 2s lipos that seem like a good upgrade, but I can't find anywhere online or in the manual where it says what this esc can handle. The stock battery is 2s and I wouldn't assume or want this little truck on anything more but I am currious what discharge rates are accepted. 30C is what is also on the stock battery but im curious if it could handle maybe 40C. Appreciate any help or advice you guys have. |

I dont think the C rating is something to worry about electronics wise. Typically on just about everything electronics wise theres only a voltage range given, no C ratings. I found extra batteries and ended up with 30C but only by coincidence. I thought you were going to ask about 3S lol Last edited by HumboldtEF; 08-14-2020 at 08:51 PM. |

alright good to know. I normally just try to be cautious with lipos and all that these days. Don't want one of my rigs burning down. But at least the parts are cheap for these trucks so if i fry an esc, replacing it wont be too bad. the battery in question that i was looking at was this too: https://www.amainhobbies.com/gens-ac...02s40j/p578767 I already picked up one of these too: https://www.amainhobbies.com/eflite-...02sj30/p147074 Just waiting on some connectors beacuse my local hobby shop didn't have any of those in stock. Idk if somewhere already sells an adapter from whatever that little white connector on it is to the red JST one. |

I found an adapter made by Hitec. It is the white molex (aka jst ph 2.0) plug to a red female jst plug. Hitec Molex To JST Battery Adapter (X4 Micro Charger) #HRC44234 The red jst plugs are the most common for receiver battery packs or drones. This should really open up your battery options now. Spektrum has some adapters too. You could use the charger adapters as motor leads as well. http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...rodID=SPMA3021 Last edited by Trick; 09-07-2020 at 02:00 PM. |
