Default Phyro’s Enduro 24

Well decided my 1/10th Enduro needed a mini me. The local shop got the little guys in stock, so here is the little one.

Next to one of the Axial trucks.

Initial thoughts on this one:
Some Negatives:
- uneven suspension travel in the front. Steering arm hits the chassis rail. Pumpkin hits the servo horn.
- rails are a flat and not a c-channel.
- Phillips hardware on most areas.
- Windows are just stickers, and are painted on the inside.

Some Positives:
- room for a scale interior
- appears to be using a Barrage still motor even the same connector.

I hope companies like hot racing, TGH, TREAL Hobby etc start innovating products for this platform. I also dislike the axle contact up front.

So after doing some searching the wheel nuts are 3/16. Also just got to looking at the little guy some more, and the truck has bushings and not bearings.

So tried to put on so RC4WD bead locks. Neither set will go one with the tools that I have. I have a 1/4 drive 3/16 and some 5.0mm which will not work as well.

Sad day.

I see the revolvers on there. How did you get a socket in there?

I flipped the hex nut around, screwed in with a 5mm socket, and tightened with pliers at the end slightly. Easy to remove and install. You can purchase cr-18/24 brass wheel weights for these wheels if you need some weight down low. Almost everything is compatible from the ECX Barrage, RGT and FTX branded parts. I'm curious to see how they price the parts considering they are very affordable through banggood and AsiaTees etc.

I have a Barrage cage actually. Might look into find a socket that I can grind down to fight the RC4WD rims.

Probably going to look at replacing the Phillips hardware after while.

I’ll get the little guy up and running tomorrow night. (Don’t have any triple As around my place currently.)

One issue that still bugs me from the start is the transmission case where the transfer dog bone goes is wobbly causing my drivetrain to be bumpy. Is anyone else experience this? Picture shows the set screw removed because I tested it without the screw and everything spins smooth. The video you can see my wobble http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5f3cc536...-144461348.mp4

Got to drive the little guy tonight. Didn’t have the shakes like you are talking about. The receiver was unbounded.

I was also into the local hobby shop, and I might have found the future body for this little guy. A 1/24 78 K10 Step Side by Revel.

Got the Colorado project right now, so going to worry about that one for now.

I'm also looking for a good plastic kit to use for a donor body.

As it is, it's fun to run around on the floor but I look forward to experimenting with shock placement, grease on shafts, etc.

It's still gonna be a money pit, but at least its a really tiny money pit!

Well found the donor model for the body

The LHS had this one and a 1/24 1976 Chevy Step Side, but decided the fleet side would be better for my plans.

Did some test fits already. I need to trim the fender wells for the engine bay to fit. The stock bumper is just the right size for the truck. And the interior tray is just right to fit on top of the transfer case.

I also found this as well

It is a back cage from a ECX Barrage. It is almost a perfect fit. The servo wire gets in the way currently. As for the finishing touches, I’ll be able to use the bedsides. They aren’t attached to the box right away.

Nice! I like that era for a CUCV or Fall Guy truck build.

I'm hoping to find a Dodge of similar vintage for mine, but haven't made up my mind. Maybe one of the Lil Red Truck kits to made an old-school Baja racer?
