I love how it goes from fully composed to utter crack attack in a split second. How'd it hold up, you break anything?

Hows your worm gear o rings? I feel like your worm gear might launch out of its housing at mach 5 speed and shoot across the room...lol. Not that I wish that on you. Im just saying. Thats gnarly fast...lol! Last edited by BIGW0RM; 05-17-2021 at 05:32 PM. |

| Re: Scx-24 mega mudbolt 8000kv +furitek Apparently they do! Someone found one chewed up in his. Its been a mystery to me for months. lol Get this! I got a furitek lizard (already got a TEGU too) and I didnt realize it had a hidden power button. Anyways, soldered a new power lead to it and it wouldnt turn on. I assumed perhaps my new power lead was backwards to how furitek power lead came out. Long story short I plugged power into mine backwards trying to get it to turn on and it SMOKED my battery wires! AND! Once I corrected my power lead and FOUND the power button, IT STILL WORKED! Hows that for high end quality! |

Update: I got metal axle housing and found out that I had burned up two O rings! Man are they SMALL! You can totally miss them if you dont look for them too. They are super small. Anyways, I didnt like the slop in my worm gear/ drive shafts and found that a M2.5 bolt washer is exactly the size of the bearing that goes into the pumpkin cover. I used the M2.5 washer to push the bearing out enough to fill up all the worm gear slop. Now my drive shafts don't move forward or backward when going from forward to reverse on throttle. They spin freely and I havent run into any issues with them and my surpass motor and all its torque. So if you BURN YOUR WORM o rings up, get a normal M2.5 washer and use that as a shim behind the bearing in the pumpkin cover. I used one washer in place of both O rings. One which burned up, the other I pulled off. This worked great for me. I used a washer from this kit. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

I was thinking about tearing down my axles and putting some AE Silicon Grease on the o-rings to reduce wear, is this a waste of time, would it be better to just replace the rings with washers? Did you lube the washers? I have also thought about doing a complete tear down and soaking the bearings in WD40 to free them up. Seems like this would be an ideal thing to do when using a high powered motor. Also thinking about building a bouncer using the same type of ESC/Motor set up as Unclelee, but the motor used appears to be discontinued. Does anyone have experience with the PN Racing Anima 7500kv? I did a search, but didn't have much luck finding 130 brushless motors. https://www.kenonhobby.com/PN-Racing...r_p_47944.html Last edited by _e_w_; 05-27-2021 at 01:15 PM. | |
