Default Scx24 Lj build

What's up my fellow scaler nerds!

Longtime no crawl!

2017 was my last login...
It's been awhile.

Just picked up a scx24 deadbolt..

Gonna be using a Lilguy ripper chassis and tires.

Wheels and tires..

What a size difference

Powerhobby mudboss tires

10x the grip
Compound is much more tackyEr than the stock tires.

Definitely needs brass hexs and metal drivelines...maybe just a scooch wider.

I have a feeling things are gonna start showing weak spots with the added beef...lol

Shocks..
39mm alum
Limited the fronts so they don't drop as far.
Left the rears in full cycle.

Gonna look around for some shock towers with multiple mounting points.

Alum axle housings are enroute.

My stock motor was running hot after those upgrades. I got the tegu, and suddenly it wasn’t hot anymore. Then it quit, but it lasted quite long. Now running micro komodo. Keep us posted

Metal axles...

Need to get cvds and spare gears and shafts..
The brass ring gear probably won't last long with the added heft..

Thanks...

I'm searching for a 24th yota model body
While I save for the Lj chassis and extras.

Nice build! And I just got one myself and find it hard not to constantly buy parts for my Deadbolt

Very nice build, I've been tinkering with mine lately...It's way more capable than I was expecting. Are those oil filled shocks? If so, what brand? I've got the Betty and it crawls well, but the stock pogo sticks have got to go.

Thanks.

No,these aren't oil filled.
However I did put a drop or 2 inside for lubrication.

The shaft is just a screw with a plastic sleeve over it...so no valve.

Hotracing has an oilfilled shock.

FYI if you order from INJORA it will take over 2 weeks to get your parts. You can get them from Amazon and get it in less than a week. Or AMain hobbies is a good one also
