| Knuckle Busters AX24 build.
Recently bought an AX24 that arrived today. I immediately starting cutting it up after crawling around the couch pillows a little bit. Here’s a few things I did…. First thing I did was pull the stock springs and swapped them out with some soft springs from a set of 48mm shocks I had for the SCX. This lowered the ride height about 5mm. It previously sat and 46-47mm at the top of the boat sides. Now it’s about 41mm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Then I decided to try moving around the battery and ESC to make it less top heavy. Got the dremel and cut off wheel put to work. Removed the upper ESC tray, which would also be the top of the batter compartment. Then I cut off the front section of the lower battery compartment. At first I tried reusing the part that I had cut off but it wasn’t working out how I though it would. I had another, better idea. I trimmed up a stock SCX24 battery tray to fit sideways in font of the motor. Test fit… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good. I got out the glue gun and set it in place with a few drops of hot glue. Test fit the battery again. And then used a small Velcro to hold it in place. I originally planned to use the Velcro strap from the Scx24 but there was no way to properly loop it through. Put the esc right behind the battery… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by KBR97; 02-26-2023 at 08:10 PM. |

All buttoned back up. It’s a tight fit. But it works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a Torquebeast 30 on the way, and then maybe I’ll do servos and some brass accessories for more weight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very nice! I imagine that all those changes must have improved performance a fair bit? I am seriously tempted to pick one of these up as well. |

| Re: Knuckle Busters AX24 build. It definitely helped the center of gravity a bunch. Now its sitting on a completely different chassis, might as well be a scx24 with rear steer |
