You can just hitch a ride with Retardation. As for a date...let's go Thursday the 24th.

If it's the 23rd maybe you should think about having it at the Mermaid. I think this will be the second truck pull there and from 5 to 8 or more guys who crawled last year will be there.

OK Pimp, time to close the poll...

So, it's at Troy's party room on the 23rd, what time?

Remember guys, Sunday the liquor stores are closed in MN, so TJB is bringing the beer!

Yeah, that's my bad. Fortunately, the 23rd looks to be the date instead of the 9th.

I went out and checked out the RC Pullers today(check the pulling thread for my photos). They do tentatively have the 23rd as the next meet. If they do have it on that date, Ken said we can use the room for the meeting before the event. They start at 1pm, and he said we could start the meeting at 10am. The only concern I'd have is that we'd be limited to our time, but I counted 7 of our guys at the pull and I wouldn't want to see these 7 guys miss the meeting. If we start with the most critical concerns and keep an eye on the time I believe we can be very productive in those 3 hours. I think we should consider doing the meeting here. B.T.W. It is also wheelchair accessible Storm. Oh, and I believe there is a bar there Dean.

Post up your thoughts.

Exclamation

Just a reminder, the meeting is this Sunday at 10am at the Mermaid in Blaine. Please be there by 10am if possible so we can get started right away. At 1pm they will start the Pulling event-we will need to be done by then.

Here is the agenda for the meeting, time permitting. We will get to as many of these as possible starting with the most time-critical topics first.
  • 2009 Schedule
  • Regional Comp
    • Do we want to host a regional comp?
  • Membership/Running Fees
    • Do we want to start charging, and if so how much?
  • Series Scoring System
    • Continue with comp points, or points on finishing order?
  • 1.9” Class
  • Super Class
  • Scale Events
    • Seperate from regular comps?
  • Alternate locations
  • Update on '09 USRCCA rules
A big thanks goes out to Ken O. for allowing us to use the ballroom at the Mermaid for our meeting. Ken is actually going to open the doors early just for us.

Ken & Jerry have also indicated a few times that they wouldn't mind putting together a puller class for our 2.2 rigs if there is enough interest. Since we will be there, if anyone wants to try their rigs with the sled, I'm sure it would be just fine. I'm bringing mine.

Here
is a Mapquest of the Mermaid for directions. Park in the back parking lot(circled below). The ballroom is just inside the entrance marked by the "X".

Hey Pimp,

I will not be able to attend I'm fighting another infection. :-(

I sure I will be happy with the clubs decisions.

I do think it would be good if we could give back to the Falls as a club by having a spring clean up day with no machines allowed only rakes and plastic bags. I think it would be a fine and appreciated gesture on our part.

The only thing I'm leary of is the planning of the Regional Meet at Taylors Falls, I think we risk to much for one event that could possibly be a catalyst for losing our wonderful and happy home. So I do not support the Falls as a location for what could be a great event.

i think we should ask for a donation to help pay for everything that needs to be done (nickelpimp, freetime and who everyone else) that has been doing all the paper work should not have to pay for the paper and ink

I'm in on a donation

i speak for myself but when the club started at ricks and the membership fees everyone that paid thought they owned the track so i think it should stay like it is and have donation

I will not be making the meeting i'll be out hunting
