| building a u4 track in lake Elmo
I'm planning on building a u4 track. My family has offered some land in lake Elmo and I'd like to guage the interest and possibly get some help. Who's in?

It doesn't sound like you need any more help, but if you do I can do the test driving with someone else's rig.

Well, I kinda figured there would be interest. It may prove to be difficult to make wheelchair accessible because it's out in a old horse pasture, and down a pretty steep hill. Does anyone have a chain saw? I have a few small trees to be cleared. I have a tractor with a loader, dirt, and rocks. Next time I'm over there I'll take a few pictures to show the area. I haven't worked out the details of the work day with the Mrs but I'm thinking about the Sunday of memorial weekend. I'm not going to post the address on the internet but will send out PM's to those who are intended in helping. I think this has potential to be a big hit.

I have a chainsaw, and I know how to use it, even. What kind of trees? How big?

There are about a half a dozen trees in the 10-12" diameter range.

Mike is right, about half dozen trees that need to be cut down. And then a bunch more that can just get nipped out. I'm not really a tree expert but I'm going to say the kind that are made out of wood.

Tipping wooden trees over is kinda fun, but my saw is allergic to pine sap. And metal, it doesn't like metal trees. Or stone ones, either. I know, it's kind of a racist saw, but I like it, it's a good saw other than that.

I have a chain saw also. I haven't used it in awhile so figured I'd "brush" up on my skills. Found this helpful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A52p9jc-gOo |
