Anyway to gear a 6x6 for rc4wd tracks on rear and scx axle on front?

If you find the effective tire diameter of the tracks (drive wheel diameter + track thickness) and the diameter of the tires you want to use on the front, you could calculate what gear set combo will get you closest.

as SuperDrty said you have to get ratio of the radius of the wheel tire combo you want to use to the main drivewheel+track thickness to work out the gearing. I made a half-track (jebster's half track lcc mog) doing this and had to fabricate my own transfer case to get the right ratio. it took a couple tries to get the ratio correct. if you are off the tracks will not ride flat. good luck on your build.

Thank you very much guys. Jebster, that was an amazing build that i lurked on a bit and pushed my idea along. I am considering a "6x6" but with two sets of tracks in the rear.

if you get a transfer case with the correct ratio then having 2 axles out back shouldn't be an issue since they will be driven by the same output.

I'd like to see what you come up with.

I also wanted to do the same thing. I however want to use a blizzard df-300 and just axial axle in the front just for steering but no power.

that has crossed my mind also d-fly since is have a blizzard but the size ratio would be awkward in my mind. Maybe I should just run the two sets of rear tracks with trans and front just be for steering.
