So you guys are for sure using two DX-6's? It's going to hold one crawler correct?

well, 1 dx-6 should do it. The bed is 24" long, so we may be able to fit a 2.2 comp rig and a scaler, we will just have to see.

super thin, .0000 thin enough to keep weight down on such a big rig but the real pain is trying to paint it, if your not careful it goes right through it.

Darkhorse, it's not styrene, it's Depron foam. The base layer is 5mm, and the detail layer is 3mm. Once the shape is done it'll get a layer of epoxy, with some .030 Lexan for windows and styrene hinges. I'll do the bumper in brass as well as the light cages. Cab floor will be aluminum to bolt up to the frame.

I am going to go out on a limb and say its final all-up-weight of the completed rig will be 12 pounds.

Might make a fun contest... Guess the weight of the crawler and win a prize.

I drove my 8X8 today and shot some video for Uni and Micro, then I tore it all apart for a new suspension and chassis.

I'll try to get the video up tomorrow.

The chassis is not nearly as nice as the body. It is c-channel aluminum, 40" long and 4" wide, basic rectangle for now.

I think a mold should be made after the body is done.
