Great job on that engine. Those injector lines look perfect.

| ![]() Thanks! While the fake engine and the rest of the parts are getting done outside the car, one more important thing has to be done: make it run properly! The cab has new mounting points(4 screws inside the inner fenders) and attached the bed on the chassis. ![]() ![]() ![]() The bed tips to change batteries, that sit above the middle axle, between the frame rails ![]() And off to the trail!! ![]() |

You did a great job on making this build, copying the detail of the real unimog frame, how the springs attach is great and axle portals too.... The only thing id change is a little bit bigger tires for 1/10th scale look like 2.2's rc4wd micholin tires, the stock unimog tires is 42-46" |

While the bay is slowly being completed, did something else: ![]() ![]() ![]() This printed wheel is a copy of the Gmade SR02 already in the truck but thin as possible to fit under the bed as the real one ![]() ![]() ![]() Just needs a mount welded on the chassis |

Already had a fuel tank, done years ago and like I feel my skills improved, re-did it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Not in the final position (hot glued in place). Have to come up with some kind of support |

Hi guys! I'm on "vacaciones" and can't work on trucks but I've got a 3d printer so can stockpile on parts to apply later I'm fairly new to printing and 3d modeling so have to start with simple stuff, like a license plate: ![]() ![]() quick paint: ![]() A battery is also useful to fill the engine bay. This one it's not my design ![]() |

Hi! Long time without updates So, the truck spends too much time on the shelf. Took it to the trails 2 times in one year :( But, even like that, the truck needs updates, one being a slightly larger fuel tank and the other, adding a rear canvas to the bed, because it was one of my initial requirements, even before the start of the project The idea is to look like this: ![]() My current bed is fine but i've scrapped the idea of the canvas before because there's no way I can put functional hooks on the thin aluminum that's on the bedsides so I'll make a brand new bed for this purpose This time, I'll print the bedsides because of my current personal situation, and doing the floor and struture as before, with wood and PVC sheet 2 prints, 1 side: ![]() How the corners would look like ![]() Giving some wooden texture to the PVC ![]() Small nails to mimic round head bolts securing the planks ![]() Black for panel gaps ![]() Painted in a colour that should be brown but it's more like dark olive drab so it will stay ![]() ![]() Next is prepping the sides to paint and attach |

That's 1 bad-ass Unimog... Love it! A canvas top will be sweet... and those panels are killer. ![]() |

So, I've scratchbuilt a fuel tank. I think it looked good enough but seemed a bit small. So I've copied the shape, enlarged it a bit and printed. That was some time ago but today picked it again to apply some paint and did something else see the mounts below the tank? ![]() ![]() ![]() Now it needs the metal mounts to the chassis and the fuel cap Last edited by cooper_xl; 05-15-2022 at 10:03 AM. |
