Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 That rig is awesome man 149 r/c worx/scalerfab/team brood. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 Thanks! I am waiting on my house to close before buying more tires and wheels for this rig... |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 I finally upgraded the front and middle drive shafts to JunFac hardened steel shafts...now when I want to go brushless, it will be ready |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 I like how you think. 149 r/c worx/scalerfab/team brood. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 I just have to figure out which brushless Holmes to put in it, I am thinking about the Puller Pro 2700kv with the Trailmaster BLE... I am thinking that the 3500kv PP might be too much.. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 2700. 149 r/c worx/scalerfab/team brood. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 thats what I am thinking as well... 2700 on 3s with a ratio between 5:1 and 6:1 should be just about perfect... |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 If you change your mind, I got a 3500kv PP for sale. I'm looking at 2000kv-ish on 4s in my 6x6. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 might consider it for my Thug rig... |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 1 Attachment(s) I got my Iroks on finally, along with my black gmade steel beadlocks. I think it looks pretty good now, plus it crawls better with the Iroks due to a softer stickier compound and better tread.. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 Back in my neck of the woods Iroks are the best all around tire I think. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 Looking real good! |

Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 I got the MMP installed and am waiting for the mail to deliver the 2850kv today. I cleaned up my wiring while waiting this morning and it looks like the mail wont be here before we go to our new property to inspect the progress. I will have to install it when we get back this afternoon. I think this will be just about perfect for this rig and it will allow me to see how well the new castle motors stack up to HH Puller Pros.... |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 3 Attachment(s) I got the motor in, I am lousy at documenting my changes with pics...too excited to get it done lol My wiring cleanup didnt go so well, I reckon I will have to try again when I get into the new home with my new larger garage lol"thumbsup" edit: At some point I am going to have to make a better looking rear cab mount to replace the hacked one that is there now. That mount used to be a wraith front shock droop mount until I cut it in half. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 1 Attachment(s) I had some scale bits from a body/chassis I bought off the classifieds and moved them to the 6X6 while I build up the new rig. I may just leave them on this rig!"thumbsup" |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 6 Attachment(s) got out to the property today and ran the 6x6 around, it did very well except for the sand pile. I tried to hold the TX and take a picture...didnt work out too well lol |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 2 Attachment(s) I changed the headlight bulbs to the warm white LED's I got last week and I like them much better, they have a more scale color like they do on the Scout winter project..."thumbsup" |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 Looking real good! Some good suspension movement too. |
Re: allanon1965 builds a 6x6 Very nice work man. 149 r/c worx/scalerfab/team brood. |
