From Jim's earlier post

This statement is confusing to me. . . .

Our Summer Series scheduled was posted to the club website on March 11th for the entire season. Here is the link.

Jim- I was trying to say just add some gtg's to the calendar, I know you post the comp dates.

I think that this simple post by Ty says it all.

People were saying "Sportsman", which to me says "Novice".
What you really wanted was a shaftie - no dig class.

It seems like there is a lot of interest in it, so let's try it.

Wooohoooo

Maybe we should drop the "Sportsman" name and call it something else so that there's no confusion.

I beleive Gerame said it best last night with "Fun Class"

My suggestion would be that we schedule a couple of comps before the snow flies that will only be shaft driven - no dig comps.
We could have them at HobbyTown to try and draw more interest too.

How does this sound?

Super!

Sounds like Fun. I think there should be some different spec's then the 2.2 class like smaller wheelbase, track width, and maybe a short tire rule (5 inches or less). Making the rigs slightly more scale-ish I think would add greatly to the fun while minimizing the overly competitive nature of some of our members (which I am one of lol).

This could definitely make it interesting.
It would be pretty simple to shorten the wheelbase.

Or I could run my Liberty.

Any other thoughts, suggestions?
