If I had to recommend a esc motor combo I would suggest holmes hobbies br-xl and holmes torquemaster motor or the tekin crawler combo for a bit cheaper option. Based on any brushless setup I have run in other rc's I can't ever imagine going brushless on a crawler. brushed is just too awesome for lowspeed control. just my 2cents in the end it's really about what you like but I would at least consider brushed over brushless. |

Seems to be the opposite of what i have read in the LCC section. From what i have gathered is that brushless is the only way to go for the LCC. Tho i could be wrong and it could be out dated info. Would be nice if it would be better to run a brushed motor, save some money thats for sure. Last edited by dabbill; 01-27-2011 at 10:46 PM. |

I can tell you I have never ran a losi comp crawler and have no idea why brushless would be better on it. only real difference between it and an axial ax-10 for example would be it has worm gears. maybe post in losi comp crawler forums if you are set on this kit and find out what the guys running the truck say.

Just placed my order. Going with LCC kit, Goat 3s / 18.5 combo, and DX3e radio. Then to work on funds for good steering servo and dig servo. Hoping the one that comes with the radio will at least last me a couple weeks of light driving and don't care if it destroy it in the process. |
