Exclamation Can someone please help me? I'm a nube.

i have a few options i've considered. i want to make a custom scaler but there are others that are cheaper for me so i can upgrade them. these are what i have in mind so far

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/venom-c...-b-p-2341.html

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/rc4wd-1...tr-p-3614.html

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/komodo-...io-p-2311.html

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/ax90019...er-p-4198.html

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/losi-11...tr-p-1075.html

https://www.ckrccrawlers.com/rocksli...io-p-4099.html

or should i just do ckrc's build your own crawler package. and i understand that ultimately its my own decision but i want some crawler vets opinions. my budget is $400

I agree with the used scx10 but I'd buy it here instead of ebay.
The scx10 has the best after market support and is arguably the most durable from the list you posted.

I would look at the SCX10 Honcho RTR. You could get the Honcho plus a upgrade or two for $400.00

Check out the prices at RPP Hobby or TCS Crawlers.

I would just get an scx10 from RPP if I was you. Stay away from CKRC.....search and you'll know why.

Well a personal expiercience was that I paid for 2-3 day shipping, and it did get here in 2-3 days, after they shipped it 2 months after I orederd. They ignored my emails, and calls. The customer service is the problem.

I got a Trail Stomper recently. Definitely would recommend it, but it needs a few mods, most of which I've done free. Driveshafts suck, remove one of the leafs from the packs, and take the o-rings out of the shocks.

No, no, and no to CKRC. Just take the advice you're being given. The SCX10 is the way to go. Quit being uppity and save some money. $400 on eBay or here in the for sale section will get you a really nice truck with some upgrades.

If you buy from CKRC call make sure it is in stock and place your order over the phone. I have had good luck with them, I am still waiting on an order from rc4wd, check out tower hobbies too or RPP for fast shipping. Tower offers easy pay of 3 payments for most axials.
