I personally prefer the kits. Building your rig let's you get to know it. You'll know how it's built and you'll know what do with it later.

Just pull the trigger and buy one of each now and get it over with.




Then you will have to decide which one to customize first

OP, both are awesome. if you really want to get off road buy the wraith. if you like putting on hiking boots and struggling to keep up with your rc on a trail, buy the wraith. not saying the honcho is a bad off roader. but if you want a scale production vehicle looks.. go honcho. hands down.

i've got a wraith and i'll be crossing it with a honcho here soon.. i love the articulation and the huge track of the wraith but the buggy body annoys the crap out of me. definitely dying to have some chevy/ford lexan up top.

They can be money pits if you want them to be. Most upgrades come about due to how the cars are treated. My buddy has spent $500 and i have spent $50.

I am really looking forward to the SCX10 as i love the scale look. I bought them primarily for mud bashing so both cars will do that just fine. Hence it's really a cosmetic decision.

truth! i stripped a plastic servo horn on mine.. that's all.

how some people have managed all the broken/worn out stuff on the rtr's i'll never know. some things i can understand, like the factory 20t motor. it is definitely not intended for crawling-only duty, runs crazy hot.

lol it is easy to spend money on this stuff. coming from 1:1 and spending $1000 at a time on whatever makes $40 way too easy to click "buy now." do this 2-3x a week and monthly i'm almost spending about the same. ugh.

I got my honcho about two weeks ago, and I already bought $500+ worth of parts.

Im excited to start the build with the new parts.

It depends on what you want a trail truck or crawler. But I love mt scx10

You can't go wrong with either one. I have both and like certain things about each one. I seem to spend less money on my honcho and it is much easier to work on. These two things make me like the scx a little more than the wraith.
