Default XR10 front tires rubbing shocks

I have the xr10, 1st off let me say this rig is just for fun, not for competing, I have had some hard core crawlers tell me how I should have bought a different rig If Im not going to set it up with all the highest $$$ parts ....so please only reply if you can help me!!! Its almost ready to run, just waiting for my motors to get here!, after testing the radio/ steering portion I noticed that the tires hit the front shock springs, is there and mod that can alleviate this issue? I really dont want to set the steering endpoints on the radio to stop them from turning that far, Id rather have as much travel as possible. Has anyone tried wheel extenders? if so which ones did the trick?

Rubbing is not a major issue. If you're not pulling the bead out or tearing the sidewall, I would not worry.

I'm running stock width XR-10 rims with Sedonas, my tires hit the shocks & lower links.

It's not that big of a deal. If it does bother you, you can buy vanquish hubs to space it out some.

Also make sure the front chubs are all the way back for the most castor, that will help with the rubbing if you have them in the middle hole

Yep, lean them back all the way. It'll keep the tires off the shocks (which isn't a big deal). And it'll turn a bit better.

If you don't plan to run weight slugs or the included wheel weights there is a mod to narrow the stock wheels to 1". You may also find a good deal on some 1" wheels in the FS section.

Check your lower spring retainers often, I'm switching to big bores up front mine rub so badly. I've lost at least 6 retainers on the rocks, the stronger servo helped a great deal with that for me. But I still hook one occasionally. Xr rims with rovers, no shaving.

ok on the stock c hubs there is a slot for the screw, if Im looking at say the "drivers side" i should rotate the c hubs clockwise as far as I can so I can still get the screw in?

With all the contact on the rim and steering arm, better take the tire off and check the screws that hold the arm on the knuckles... I had the same issue stock, I just did a dab of blue locktite and they stayed tight after that
