| redcat rs10
I looking to upgrade the battery in my redcat rs10 but not sure what the best one to run would be. I just orderd new hitec high torque servos so if anyone info let me here it thanks

I dont think the redcat crawlers are lipo ready, so go with a battery from allbatterys.com. the web sites name is something like that. they got a good selection of non lipo batterys. size wise go as big as will fit.

you can run a 2s lipo with the stock ESC but it has no lipo cut off . some have been lucky with a 3s but your taking a chance of frying the ESC.

| Re: redcat rs10 What he said, minus the Novak part. Any low voltage cutoff will work. Dont try 3S because you are running a risk of frying the esc. Although its the same esc found in their 1/8 scale crawler and they clearly state that it is 3s capable. I would stick with a 2S lipo 35-40c rating or if you're wanting to stay with nihm, use a 8.4v 5000mah battery pack. Going with a Hitech servo, you're going to need a BEC. So either buy one thats used and already set at 7v or buy a new one and a programmer (if using Castle). |
