Easily, two long pieces of wood with a bunch of smaller pieces nailed on.

search is your friend! crawler courses - specifically the portable type - are what actually first brought me to this forum - some fantastic ideas are posted here!

Just a few that I bookmarked to get you started...

my personal favorite...http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/gener...built-day.html

and a couple for making portable courses...

Artificial Rock Course

Portable Crawler Course

There are, of course, a ton more - a quick search should turn up LOTS of options.

Thanks for all the input. I have been searching and did find some really cool and useful stuff. I even went out today and collected some materials to get started on it. I am planning on setting it up in my backyard. I removed our swimming pool and figured it was a perfect spot for a crawling coarse. Thanks again!

Hey Axle, I started a thread about a back yard course. Check it out here: Backyard Crawler Course

It has some good pics and ideas in it. Good Luck!

Thanks! I did a bunch of searching around here and only found maybe 3 to 5 threads about backyard courses, so I decided to start my own. Feel free to add pics or questions to it!

My buddy and i have been building a awesome course as well its got bridges, hill climbs, water, large granite boulders, mini houses, tunnels and whatever else comes to our minds when we are in build mode, its a never ending thing, i got 40 acres to build on so it seems to keep going, one of these days il post some amazing pics of it, right now its a private crawler course up in the hills of northern california...someday we dream of having a comp there.
All it takes to build is some rocks and dirt mostly and a little bit of a vision...

Hit me up
what's better is a bald rock run, that place is amazing...it's about twenty minutes above oroville and is a huge open face of granite, kinda like a mini half dome but you can hike all around it...they just had a g6comp there last weekend..

Is that a front end to a school? Is that part of the course? That would be sick if there is a line up and over the bus!
