Default winch install problem

Hi I am new to the forums and have one frustrating question. I just bought a winch and plugged it in, my controller has a 3 position switch and I wired it into the 3rd channel on the receiver. The issue I am having is when I put the switch up or down it goes in and out like it should but when the switch is in the middle it still moves very slowly and the motor just wines the whole time like its going back and forth or something. My question is my controller and receiver able to be hooked up to a winch? I have a kyosho kt-201 and my receiver is a kyosho kr-200. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a trim adjustment for the 3rd channel? You need to adjust the trim until the winch stops.

That radio definitely has a trim setting.

Look on page six of the manual:

EPA is different than Trim. EPA sets the End Points....Trim sets that middle point.
