Default Topcad steel frame for wraith?

Im looking at building a 2nd wraith. Maybe with honcho axles and 2.2 wheels ect.
I just saw topcad steel frame for under $50. Is this an ok buy?
I'm no expert and will mostly be using these wraiths for fun with kids and trails ect.
Ty

TopCad isn't the best nor is Integy.

For $50, you can purchase a plastic Wraith chassis complete with links and skid plate. At least your hard earned money is staying in the US, instead of going to a sweatshop in China.

Ok, I won't buy. Good point.
I'm thinking of just building piece by piece .Buy everything individually as I want. Maybe try brazing my own chassis then?

It never hurts to try own skills!

If you have a stick/MIG/TIG welder, you can use 3/16" steel rod.

If you want to braze, UN coated brake line and Harris Safety Silv 45 or 56 with a MAPP gas torch will get you started. Before you start, I suggest looking in the Tools & Procedures sub-forum to get the feel for how others braze and understand what all is involved.

Brazing is a lot of fun to do- the hardest part is the setup for a joint.
