no... I don't think so. You could put the dummy on the back or something and get -1 scale accessory point for it.

Soooooo how does one make a servo go round and round instead of only back and forth within a certain range?

| Re: winch ???? All the standard size continuous rotation servos I've ever seen are very low torque, less than 50 oz/in. Too low for winch duty IMO. Hitec 645MG is about the lowest I'll go for a servo winch.

Okay so now I have done my research. And understand why people buy a scale winch. Servo winch "big ugly and costly" but effective. Scale winch looks good works like it should. I'm still not buying one though.

Most servo winches are under the body and out of sight, just a fair-lead showing. In order to get a normal servo to spin round and round, you remove a pin that sticks into the pot and the electronics and then solder up the winch controller. Easy. Biggest advantage over a scale winch is strength... they are way stronger (depending on servo used). I use old steering servo's that have gone bad. So I just have to by the controller which is cheap and it has 480oz of torque. |

Well, I now have a servo winch front and rear - freakin love it! Little lost on the points side. I have a fairlead showing front and rear - what points would I get? Any? Or do you have to have a scale warn case showing to get full points? |

| Re: winch ???? That's a home-made pull pal of sorts - hook connects to it. I am using it a bit out of context - may or may not be legal in a competition - good question. When 1:1 crawling, we had all kinds of welded up goodies to help us get out of crazy situations! |

There's a lot of guys making Pull Pals (and similar anchors) but what's really cool (imo) are the snatch blocks! The Rogue Elements is by far the coolest. |
