Default servo setup

I have been using the search function and must not be searching the right thing. Keep getting look at the pinned servo setup in the forum. Everytime I search I keep reading about others with different problems and responses about the pinned setup thread. Can someone post a link. I setup my servo and it always buzzes like its trying to find centre even when I driving it and steering.

What servo, radio, truck, axles, etc. Picture of your setup and we can help you better. Sounds like bad servo, sloppy wiring and/or binding in steering linkage and/or axle.

Are you using a BEC to power the servo?

Noise is normal. It's when it doesn't work should you then worry.

I think the hitec servos make more noise than savox and futaba servos.. I have learned to like the servo noise from my 7950,, my 7980 does not make as mutch noise as my 7950,,
But I have always used hitec,, (never change a winning team)

If you're not running one of the very few ESCs with a 5a+ internal BEC, highly recommend the BEC with a Y harness so it powers servo only, and set at 6v or 7.4v. Servo and ESC both will perform better and last longer. If all you're hearing is some noise but the servo isn't moving back and forth on its own, you're probably fine. If servo moves back and forth on its own trying to find center, then you have a problem and should send it in for repair.

Buy a star for $20 to support the site, & be able to post unlimited pics, and be able to enter free drawings like the upcoming 12 days of Christmas giveaways.

good to know I had a savox before that came with the rig. lhs told me this one is one of the best and will last a long time. I didnt research because this hobby has turned me into a little kid and as soon as mine quit working I took it apart and couldnt fix it and just went to the shop and he gave me a few options and I just wanted to go back crawling.
