Adding a second motor is going to give you more pulling power, but you will destroy the drive train (unless it's upgraded) in the process. A down side to doing this will be that you're adding a lot of weight up high in the chassis and therefor killing your center of gravity for climbing. You can run a single ESC, no need for two ESCs or two batteries.

Wouldn't running two motors off one ESC double the current draw? I'd think that would either smoke the ESC or cut the motor rpm in half.

One good motor is better than two.

There is no room for a second motor without removing the interior of the Wraith. You are better-off getting a bigger brushed motor, or a brushless motor, if your Wraith isn't powerful enough.

Depends on the capacity of the ESC. The E-Maxx, and maybe also the brushed E-Revo, are built that way, with two motors running on a single ESC. Of course, those vehicles have room for two motors, whereas the Wraith doesn't -- not without major modifications that will ruin its appearance.
