Could be the ESC overheating. What are temps like where you live? I had a similar issue with my stampede when I got back in the hobby a few years ago and it was the ESC getting too hot running it on hot pavement.

On my RTR unit, it was the stock servo electronics that went (overheated, or got wet), and jammed the esc. It did it a couple times, then packed it in for good (replaced with savox).

The easy test for this is to disconnect the battery, pull out the servo connector from the receiver, turn turn the truck back on, and the esc will work again (but no steering).

The ESC will cut out if it gets too hot, but if the unit is working well that should not happen unless you are really loading up the motor by crawling and such.

Have you changed the gearing?

If u look in the yeti section. Several have problems with stock rtr electronics going 3s. Cause the ESC is in combination with the motor, 3s and stock gearing at his maximum limit maybe a little above. Best way if u want to use 3s replace the ESC with a more capable one like the Mamba X.

I believe my friend has overheating issues with his SCORE. It's probably the craptastic ESC shutting off.
