Default RC4wd Slash tires

I have been talking with Mike at RC4WD about a new tire for the slash, and he seamed interested in doing this project. The tires would be stock width (1.7in) and stock height (4.3in). Tread is the thing we need.

We defenitly need a tire with more grip...

Also beadlocks with dimensions of the original Slash ones would be nice...

we need a more aggressive tread, not like that first tire that'll just spin and slip

Old school BFG Baja's with the grooves on the sidewalls (top pic), or the newer style BFG mudd CORR editions.. Both get my stamp of approval.

wow, you're an idiot.

i'd like for the baja t/a to be made but i think in RC4WD's rubber compounds it wouldn't hook worth a shit. maybe if proline made them... (HINT HINT SCOTT!)

not to side knoc I am pretty sure he is a retard.. but what works in the real world doesnt always translate to R/C. I really dont think those would work either I would love to have a set they look great but I am pretty sure they would suck... give me a set of bowties from proline FTW...

I for one dont want a scale looking tire on a slash when I get one.. i want a tire that will work, taper pins bowties something like that..

i bought a slash because of the scale appearance. if i wanted performance i would have bought a t4 or something. so the scale appearance of the tires matters to me. besides the track by my place that i run my slash on is damn near asphalt its so hard packed.

I think the stock tread or something close to a BFG mudder would be good, but in a much better compound, they stockers are great on ashphalt, but suck on dry tracks/bashing areas etc. A watered track isn't too bad, but the compound could definitely use some help.

Thats a little different then, and you said yourself its like asphalt which I said thats all they would be good for. The stock tires of the slash dont grip that well and there alot knobbier. I just think the tires that are winning would be really loose on a track, and i myself would prefer a tire that is still scale looking yet agressive. But thats just me. To each there own, I just know I wouldnt buy a set.

x2. I'm going to try and make mine a mini TT, with dual laydown spares and possibly a bedcage too. I want it to look real. I haven't been in RC for about 2-3 years now, but this truck got me back into it. If it didn't look partially scale, I still wouldn't be in the RC scene. Scale is what brought me back. I got tired of all those low, wide suspension "trucks" that are pretty much identical in design. Sure, the SLASH follows suit with the same chassis, blah blah, but it has a body that covers the tires.

BFG BAJA's FTW. PlzKThnx.
